Applications are invited from suitable candidates for Junior Research Fellow/ Project Associate-I to work at CSIR-CSMCRI for CSIR funded project on ‘Modernization of Experimental Salt Farm of CSIR-CSMCRI in light of scientific design and layout’ (Project No. MLP-0068)
Post No.1: Project Associate I: 01 post
Essential Qualifications: B.E./B. Tech. Civil Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent
Desirable Qualification: Preference will be given to the candidate with specialization or masters of engineering in Structural Engineering / Applied Mechanics.
Fellowship: (i) Rs 31000/- + HRA for B. E. / B. Tech. Civil Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent with scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests-CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE OR (b) National level examinations conducted by central government Departments and their agencies and institutes.
(ii) Rs 25000/- + HRA for others i.e. B. E. / B. Tech. Civil Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent [without (a) or (b) as mentioned above].
Age: As on the last date of receipt of the application, maximum 35 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per CSIR rules.
Duration: These positions are purely temporary for the period of one year. The post is extendable up to three years as per the performance of the candidate. It would, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI.
Desirable Experience and Job Description: Structural designing of the pumping stations, foundations, culverts, structures in salt farm, designing in STAAD.pro, Autodesk 3ds Max, Civil engineering aspects for designing of solar salt farms, designing in AutoCAD, preparation of estimates and costing for civil works based on DSR/SOR, site supervision of civil construction, planning and management. She/he will also be required to travel for site work. Extensive field activities on salt farm for development of Model Salt Works will be involved.

Essential Qualifications: B.E./B. Tech. in Civil Engineering / B.Sc. in Construction Management from a recognized university or equivalent
Desirable Qualification: Preference will be given to the candidate with specialization or masters of engineering in Structural Engineering / Soil Mechanicals and Foundation Engineering/ Construction Technology and Management/ Applied Mechanics / Geotechnical/ Urban Planning / B.Sc. in Construction Management.

Desirable Experience and Job Description: Civil engineering aspects for designing of solar salt farms, designing in AutoCAD, Structural designing of the pumping stations, foundations, designing in STAAD.pro, Autodesk 3ds Max,, preparation of estimates and costing for civil works based on DSR/SOR, site supervision of civil construction, planning and management, counter survey with total station and GPS mapping, experimental data collection of solar salt fields and. Knowledge of digitization and mapping in ArcMap GIS would be added advantage. She/he will also be required to travel for site work. Extensive field activities on salt farm for development of Model Salt Works will be involved.
Post No. 3: Project Associate-I: 01 Post
Essential Qualifications: B.E./B. Tech. Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent
Desirable Qualification: Preference will be given to the candidate with specialization or masters of engineering in Industrial Engineering / Thermal Engineering.
Fellowship: (i) Rs 31000/- + HRA for B. E. / B. Tech. Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent with scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests-CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE OR (b) National level examinations conducted by central government Departments and their agencies and institutes.
(ii) Rs 25000/- + HRA for others i.e. B. E. / B. Tech. Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent [without (a) or (b) as mentioned above].

Desirable Experience and Job Description: Mechanical engineering aspects for designing, laying and installation of pumping station, equipment designing of Model salt farms, He will supervised the laying and execution work for pumping station, management of brine near to main creek to whole circuit of solar salt works, performing lab scale and field scale experiments on enhancing evaporation rate of brine to increase salt yield in salt farm, installation, commissioning and operation of tidal gates, wooden gate system at Inlet and outlet of each ponds for storage of brine, designing in AutoCAD, preparation of estimates and costing for mechanical works based on DSR/SOR. Design and demonstration of mechanization and washing in model salt works. She/he will also be required to travel for site work. Extensive field activities on salt farm for development of Model Salt Works will be involved. Preffredce will be given to the candidate having experience of brien evaporation studies.
Post No. 4 : Project Associate I: 01 post
Essential Qualifications: B.E./B. Tech. Electronics & Instrumentation / Instrumentation and control (IC) / Electronics and communications Engineering, / M.Sc. Geography) from a recognized university or equivalent
Desirable Qualification: Preference will be given to the candidate with specialization or masters of engineering in Electronics & Instrumentation/ Instrumentation and control Engineering / Applied Instrumentation / M.Sc. Geography.
Fellowship: (i) Rs 31000/- + HRA for B. E. / B. Tech. Electronics & Instrumentation / Instrumentation and control (IC) / Electronics and communications Engineering/ M.Sc. Geography from a recognized university or equivalent with scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests-CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE OR (b) National level examinations conducted by central government Departments and their agencies and institutes.

Desirable Experience and Job Description: Experience of developing industrial instruments will be preferred. Good command on Remote Sensing & GIS Analysis, Mapping will be added advantage. He /She has to work on Installation of atomization in tidal gates operations, wooden gate system at Inlet and outlet of salt ponds, implementing the drone-based technology, Atomization, IoT and Artificial Intelligence in Model Salt Farm, possibilities for the implementation of advanced technology in model salt farm, implementation of computer-based control of salt operations and brine transfer as a single place to control the quality and depth of the brine at each stage in the salt production process in Model Salt farm. She/he will also be required to travel for site work. Extensive field activities on salt farm for development and modernization/atomization of Model Salt Works will be involved.
