Applications are invited from talented and motivated candidates for working in a Seaweed Mission mode project, sanctioned by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, New Delhi, in WP-6 (work package-6) “Seaweed based formulations/sap for reduced disease susceptibility in important oil yielding crops peanut and sesame” in HCP0024 The details of post is as follows:
 

Project Assistant-II (PA-II): 02 Post

Essential Qualification

B.Sc. Biotechnology/Microbiology/Bio-chemistry/Botany from a recognized university or equivalent

Monthly emoluments (in ₹)

:

Rs. 20,000/- + HRA

Age limit (in years)

:

35 years*

Project Associate-I (PAT-I): 02 Post

Essential Qualification

:

M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Botany/Biochemistry/Plant Science/Plant Molecular Biology/Plant Physiology/Bioinformatics/ Microbiology or any other area of plant sciences from a recognized university or equivalent

Desirable

:

Experience in analysis of Plant samples

Monthly emoluments (in ₹)

:
  1. Rs. 31,000/- + HRA for those candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC/ ICAR/ ICMR NET incl. lectureship/assistant professorship or GATE OR those who have qualified National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments like DBT/DST or equivalent and/or their Agencies/Institutions.  
  2. Rs. 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (a) above

Project Associate-I (PAT-I): 01 Post

Essential Qualification

B.E. / B. Tech in Bioinformatics / Computer Sciences from a recognized university or equivalent

Desirable

Experience in analysis of Plant samples

Monthly emoluments (in ₹)

  1.   Rs. 31,000/- + HRA for those candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC/ ICAR/ ICMR NET incl. lectureship/assistant professorship or GATE OR those who have qualified National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments like DBT/DST or equivalent and/or their Agencies/Institutions.  
  2. Rs. 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (a) above

Senior – PAT : 01 Post

Essential Qualification

:

Ph.D. in Botany/Plant Sciences/ Biological Sciences/ Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/ Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology

Desirable: Publications in SCI journals

The selected candidates will work on Bioinformatics, Transcritomics, Genome analysis physiological, biochemical, molecular biology and biotechnology related project activities in WP-6.

Monthly emoluments (in ₹)

:

Rs. 42,000/-+ HRA

Age limit (in years)

:

40 years*

*Relaxation in age / qualification as per CSIR norms.

These positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The engagement of a project staff in different projects either in the CSIR - Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Bhavnagar or different Lab / Instt. Of CSIR taken together shall not exceed 6 years in any case. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar.
