Applications are invited from suitable candidates for Project JRF (Junior Research Fellow) to work on the DST funded collaborative project of CSMCRI and Nirma University titled “Use of Recycled C&D waste, Fly Ash, Bottom Ash, Dredged Marine Sand and Gypsum for construction of Sustainable Salt Pan Beds for Enhancement of Salt Productivity through Prevention of Brine Percolation.” (Project No. GAP 2193)
Essential Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech. degree in Civil Engineering.
B.E./B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech. degree in Civil Engineering and selected through a process described through any one of the following:
(a) Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET valid including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and valid GATE score card.
(b) The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc.
The candidate will be working on field implementation of sustainable concrete bed and testing of bed with mechanized operations loading in salt farm of CSMCRI and site at Nirma University. Preference will be given to the person having experience in preparing Sustainable Geopolymer Concrete and working experience on salt farm field activities is desirable.
Emoluments:
- Rs 37000/- + HRA

Emoluments:
- 31,000 + HRA for those candidates who have qualified CSIR–UGC / ICAR / ICMR NET incl. lectureship/assistant professorship or GATE or those who have qualified National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments like DBT/DST or equivalent and/or their Agencies/Institutions.
- 25,000 + HRA for others who do not fall under (a) above.
Age: 35 Years as on date of Walk in Interview (Age relaxation is applicable as per CSIR Rules)
Duration: The JRF or Project Associate-I will work in Nirma University, Ahmedabad in the initial stage of project and will work in CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar later stage of project. The candidate have to work at Nirma University or CSIR-CSMCRI, as and when required. This post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The engagement of a project staff in different projects either in the CSIR - Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Bhavnagar or different Lab./Instt. of CSIR taken together shall not exceed 6 years in any case. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar.
