Essential Qualification: B.Sc. in Botany
Desirable: Experience of undertaking various research activities in the field of seaweeds.
Fellowship: Rs. 20,000/- + HRA as per CSIR guidelines.
Job description: Selected candidate will work on the DST-TIFAC, New Delhi sponsored project, titled ‘Technology assessment for edible seaweed production (Monostroma sp.) and seedling production (Gracilaria Dura)’. The candidate is expected to co-ordinate with temporary project staff to achieve the objectives; additionally the candidate is expected to visit various seaweed farming locations and candidate is also expected to initiate tank cultivation of seaweeds especially for seedling production.
Age limit: 50 years as on last date of receiving applications (age relaxation as per CSIR rule).

This assignment is purely temporary specifically for a period of one year only in the project or till the project period; whichever is early. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidates for claiming extension or absorption in CSMCRI/CSIR.
