Essential Qualification(s): M.Sc. in Chemistry.

Desirable: CSIR-UGC NET (LS)/GATE/ MSC in organic/inorganic chemistry, Material synthesis and knowledge of catalysis.

Fellowship: i) Rs 31000/- + HRA for the scholars who are selected through (a) national eligibility tests CSIR-UGC NET including LS or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.  

(ii) Rs. 25000/- +HRA for those who do not fall in (i) above

Age: Maximum 35 years as on the last date of receipt of application. Age relaxation is applicable as per CSIR rules.

Duration of the project: This position is purely temporary for the project duration (three years). Therefore, it would not confer any right/claim, implicit or explicit, for any candidate for extension or absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI. Initial appointment is for one year.

Job Description: Selected candidate will work on SERB funded project entitled: “Designing Homogeneous and Heterogeneous Multifunctional Catalysts for Tandem Hydroformylation of Olefins.”. The main objective of this project is to synthesize various ligands and heterogeneous multifunctional based catalysts and carry out tandem hydroformylation reactions.
