Essential Qualification(s): M.Sc. in Chemistry with GATE / CSIR-UGC NET (LS).

Desirable:  Junior Research Fellowship (CSIR-UGC)/ experience in organic chemistry/ knowledge on supramolecular chemistry.

Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- p.m. plus HRA as admissible.

Age: Maximum 28 years as on the last date of application. Age relaxation is applicable as per Institute rules.

Duration of the project: This position is purely temporary for the project duration (three years). Therefore, it would not confer any right/claim, implicit or explicit, for any candidate for extension or absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI. Initial appointment is for one year.

Job Description: Selected candidate will work on SERB-funded Core Research Grant (CRG) entitled: Construction of Functionalized Porous Frameworks for Synergic Catalysis and Security Applications. The main objective of this project is to construct functionalized metal-organic frameworks and/or covalent-organic frameworks as heterogeneous catalysts for various C–H bond activation reactions, and multi-color tunable luminescent materials for anti-counterfeiting applications.

Last date of e-mail receipt of filled-in application form is 28/01/2022. Incomplete applications would be rejected during screening. Applications received by e-mail will be scrutinized based on certain selection criteria, and only short-listed candidates will be asked to attend the interview through online mode (Skype or MS – Team). Details of the interview will be intimated to such candidates by e-mail.

The selected candidate would have a choice to register for Ph.D. program in the future under AcSIR. However, the candidate must meet certain eligibility criteria and need to qualify the screening test.
