Essential Qualifications:

Graduate B.E./B. Tech. in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent.

Desirable Experience & Job Description:

Preference will be given to the candidate with Specialization on Sustainable Concrete Technology/Structural Engineering/ Soil Mechanicals/Construction technology and management/Urban Planning and who have worked on similar project on concrete mix design, having experience in preparing concrete and performing concrete tests. Preparation of concrete mix design in laboratory of CSIR-CSMCRI, Field implementation of sustainable concrete bed and testing of bed with mechanized operations loading in Salt Farm of CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar, Project involved laboratory testing and Fieldwork related to concrete mix designs.

The selected candidate will have to work on the CSIR funded project of CSMCRI titled “Utilization of industrial waste generated from Soda ash and choler-alkali industry for development of alkali activated sustainable concrete saltpan bed for salt industry to reduce brine losses through seepage and to strengthen for mechanized loading. (Project No. HCP00054)”

Post No. 2: Project Associate-I: 01 post

Essential Qualifications:

Graduate B.E./B. Tech. in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent.

Desirable Experience & Job Description:

Preference will be given to the candidate with specialization in Water Resources Engineering/Hydraulic/  Hydrological Engineering and who have sound knowledge of basic fluid dynamic, open channel flow, water resources models and worked on similar project on designing and modelling of Solar Salt works and open channels, mapping of saline land in AcrGIS and flood predictions and inundation mapping using MIKE/HEC-RAS software, numerical modelling. Knowledge of modelling in water resources are desirable. She/he will also be required to travel for site work. Knowledge of Remote sensing techniques would be added advantage.

Post No. 3: Project Associate-I: 01 post

Desirable Experience & Job Description:

Preference will be given to the candidate with specialization in Structural Engineering / Applied Mechanics and who have worked on similar project on structural design of structures, having experience in similar subject.

The selected candidate will work on Structural designing of Solar Salt Farm of CSIR-CSMCRI, Foundation and other structural element in laying of brine intake system, rain water drain system and advanced Model construction, design of foundation of the pumping stations, Project site supervision at Salt Farm of CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar, designing in STAAD.pro, Autodesk 3D Max, Civil engineering aspects for designing of solar salt farms, designing in AutoCAD, preparation of estimates and costing for civil works based on DSR/SOR, site supervision of civil construction, planning and management. She/he will also be required to travel for site work. Extensive field activities on salt farm for development of Model Salt Works will be involved.

Project Title and Number:

The selected candidate will have to work on the CSIR funded project of CSMCRI titled ‘Modernization of Experimental Salt Farm of CSIR-CSMCRI in light of scientific design and layout’ (Project No. MLP-0068)

Fellowship for Post No. 1, 2 &3 :

(i) Rs 31000/- + HRA to scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests-CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE OR (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by central government Departments and their agencies and institutions.

 (ii)  Rs 25000/- + HRA for others for who do not fall under (i) above. 

Age: As on the last date of receipt of the application, maximum 35 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per CSIR rules.

Duration: These positions are purely temporary for the period of 1 year and extendable as per performance and assessment of candidate. It would, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming absorption in CSIR- CSMCRI.
