Project Associate I: 01 post

Essential Qualifications:  M. Sc. in Chemistry

Desirable experience: The selected candidate will have to work on the project “Electrostatically Tuned Active Site Catalysis: Rapid Access to Fused Cyclic Scaffolds and Unusual Amino Acids”. The candidate having one year of research experience is desirable. The candidate will be working on catalysis, organic synthesis and analysis of chemical samples.

Fellowship: (i) Rs. 31000/- + HRA for M.Sc. (Chemistry) from a recognized university or equivalent with scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) National level examinations conducted by central government Departments and their agencies and institutions.

(ii) Rs. 25000/- + HRA for others i.e. M.Sc. (Chemistry) from a recognized university or equivalent [without (a) or (b) as mentioned above]. 

Age: As on the last date of receipt of application, maximum 35 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per CSIR rules.

This post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The engagement of a project staff in different projects either in the CSIR - Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Bhavnagar or different Lab./Instt. of CSIR taken together shall not exceed 5 years in any case. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar.
