For Project Associate-I (PA-I):

Essential qualification: M.Sc. in Physics/Chemistry from a recognized university or equivalent with scholars who are selected through (a) National eligibility tests-CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE OR (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by central government Departments and their agencies and institutions.

Monthly emolument: Rs 31000/- + HRA

For Project Associate-II (PA-II):

Essential qualification: (i) M.Sc. in Physics/Chemistry from a recognized university or equivalent with scholars who are selected through (a) National eligibility tests-CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE OR (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by central government Departments and their agencies and institutions. and (ii) 2 years’ experience in research and development in industrial and academic institutions or science and technology organizations and scientific activities and services.

Monthly emolument: Rs 35000/- + HRA

Age: As of the last date of receipt of application through email, maximum 35 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per the CSIR rule.

Duration: This post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The engagement of a project staff in different projects either in the CSIR - Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Bhavnagar or different Lab./Instt. of CSIR taken together shall not exceed 5 years in any case. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar.  

Job description: The selected candidate will work on a SERB-sponsored project on the fabrication of porous polymer nanofilm composite membranes for desalination, water purification, and molecular separation.
