Summer Training / Dissertation / Internship Program

CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar, offers Summer Training / Dissertation / Internship programs to graduate/postgraduate students who would like to pursue their academic projects under the above-mentioned titles, ranging from 02 – 12 months as part of their academic curriculum. Students are advised to visit CSIR-CSMCRI’s website for prior information on the institute's various R&D activities. Interested students may email the HR cell of CSIR-CSMCRI (hrcell.csmcri@csir.res.in). There is no deadline for receiving the applications for this purpose. But students, as per their academic requirements, can apply for the same at any time in a calendar year.

CSIR-CSMCRI does not consider Summer Training / Dissertation / Internship for less than two months.

Terms and Conditions

  • A maximum of 10 students (in all subjects) from individual university / institution / college are permitted for Summer Training / Dissertation / Internship programs at CSIR-CSMCRI.
  • Students have to provide complete contact details of their sponsoring authority (telephone number, including mobile, e-mail, etc.). This information is vital, as the approval letters will be sent to the sponsoring authority, with a copy to the student.
  • Students must manage their own boarding, lodging, and transportation for the entire duration of their Summer Training / Dissertation / Internship programs at CSIR-CSMCRI. Students may explore the possibility of accommodation in the students’ hostel with the Administration through their Mentors/ Supervisors.
  • Students may please note that their requests for the above-mentioned programs are subject to the grant of permission, i.e., they are advised to apply for a placement in the first instance to “The Head, HR Cell (hrcell.csmcri@csir.res.in). Once the placement is granted, students may follow the specified application procedure.
  • Duly filled-in application should be reach the HR cell, CSIR-CSMCRI, G. B. Marg, Bhavnagar-364002 (soft copy may be forwarded to hrcell.csmcri@csir.res.in) and students should submit the original hard copies to the HR Cell at the time of reporting at CSIR-CSMCRI.
  • Students may please note that the minimum period for the Summer Training / Dissertation / Internship programs is two months, and the amount will be chargeable accordingly. Students granted permission for the above programs shall pay a non-refundable fee of ₹ 3000 (Rupees Three Thousand only) per month, plus GST at the applicable rate (currently 18%). Once the fee is paid, it will not be returned.
  • No extension is allowed in general. However, an extension may be permitted in deserving cases, subject to the prior approval of the Competent Authority. In cases where students are permitted to continue beyond the approved duration for more than 15 days, they need to pay the full fee for that/those month(s).
  • Students may pay the requisite fee for the above-mentioned programs through Bank (NEFT / RTGS) as per the Bank Details of CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar.
  • Students seeking Summer Training / Dissertation / Internship programs at CSIR-CSMCRI have to submit a recommendation letter from their Head of Organization/Department on their Institutional Letter Head, along with the duly filled-in application form (letter format given).
