Essential Qualifications:  B.E./ B. Tech. in Civil Engineering.

Desirable Qualification/ Experience: Candidate with M.E. having sound knowledge of basic fluid dynamic, open channel flow, water resources models and contour surveying techniques are desirable.

Job Description: The selected candidate will have to work on the CSIR funded project entitled “Deployment of Integrated process for enhancement of brine evaporation rate @ 30-40% to improve yield of solar salt in existing areas”. The selected candidate will work on laboratory/pilot plant experiments on evaporation enhancement and yield improvement studies in salt field, demonstration of processes, its engineering analysis and simulation using software, AutoCAD designing, designing and modelling of Solar Salt works, study of climatic parameter affecting salt production, mapping of saline land, flood predictions using HEC-RAS/MIKE software/numerical modelling. Knowledge of hydraulic structure design and modelling in water resources are desirable. She/he will also be required to travel for site work. Knowledge of ArcGIS mapping and Remote sensing techniques would be added advantage. Candidate with prior experience on either of the themes is preferred.

Fellowship: (i) 31,000/- + HRA to scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level  examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions (ii) 25,000/- + HRA for others who don’t fall under (i) above

Age: As on the last date of receipt of applications through email, i.e. 18/11/2020, maximum 35 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per CSIR rules.

Duration: These positions are purely temporary for the period of One year extendable up to 31/03/2022. It would, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming absorption in CSIR- CSMCRI.
