The Essential Educational Qualification and the remuneration in respect of Project Associate-I advertised vide number PO. 1/2020 may be corrected and read as under:

For the position of Project Associate I:

Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Life Science / Microbiology /Botany/ Biochemistry

Monthly Emoluments (in Indian rupees):

1.  31,000/- + HRA to scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions
2. 25,000/- + HRA for others who don’t fall under (i) above

Other details notified vide above-referred Advertisement remain unchanged.

Applications are invited from talented and motivated candidates for working in recently sanctioned projects of CSIR-CSMCRI by Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science & Technology, Government of India project entitled "Mitigation of salinity stress tolerance in Sesamum indicum L. using a novel ABA-dependent SbMYB44 transcription factor from halophyte Salicornia brachiata” and Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, New Delhi project entitled “Genome sequencing of Recreto halophyte Aeluropus lagopoides (L.) trin. Ex Thw. (Poaceae)” at CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar. The details of posts are as following:

Project Associate 1: (1 Post)
Qualification*	:	M.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Life Science / Microbiology /Botany/ Biochemistry.
Job requirement	:	The selected candidates will work on molecular biology and biotechnology related project activities.
Emoluments	:	DST Project Associate-I: ₹ 31,000+HRA/- per month
Age limit*	:	35 years (Project Associate-I)
Project Assistant II: (1 Post)
Qualification*	:	M.Sc. with 55% marks in Biotechnology/ Life Science / Microbiology /Botany/ Biochemistry.
Job requirement	:	The selected candidates will work on molecular biology and biotechnology related project activities.
Emoluments	:	CSIR Project Assistant-II: ₹ 31,000+HRA/- per month
Age limit*	:	30 years (Project Assistant -II)
Research Associate I: (1 Post)
Qualification*	:	Ph.D. in Biotechnology/ Life Science / Botany/ Biochemistry/ Plant Science/ Biological Science. Two publications in SCI journal is essential.
Job requirement	:	The selected candidates will work on molecular biology and biotechnology related project activities.
Emoluments	:	CSIR Research Associate-I: ₹ 47000/- per month)
Age limit*	:	35 years (Research Associate-I)

 

*Relaxation in age / qualification as per CSIR norms.

The last date for sending the application is 28^th  August, 2020 (Friday). Applications received by mail will be scrutinized based on certain criteria and only such shortlisted candidates as are eligible as per criteria will be asked to attend the interview using the online mode. The details of the interview will be sent to such candidates by e-mail. The interview of the shortlisted candidates is scheduled on 4^th September, 2020 at 10.30 A.M through Skype. The selected candidates may pursue the Ph.D. programme in AcSIR as per the guidelines. 

Duration: These positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project tenure. It would, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming absorption in CSIR- CSMCRI.
