Essential Qualifications: B. Tech/B. E in Chemical Engineering (01 post)

Desirable experience: Candidate having B. Tech/B. E in Chemical Engineering with experience in the field of polymeric membrane synthesis and characterization is desirable. The selected candidate will have to work on the ANRF-funded Advanced Research Grant (ARG) project entitled “Fabrication of novel hollow fiber and cross-flow membrane module with smart real-time fouling mitigation assembly to tackle charged foulants for high throughput applications”. The candidate will be working on polymeric membrane synthesis, characterization, process development and demonstration of the processes.  

Emoluments: Emoluments as per ANRF guidelines.

Project Junior Research Fellow (JRF): For B. Tech/B. E in Chemical Engineering

Rs. 37,000/- pm + HRA to scholars who are selected through a process described through any one of the following:

1. Scholars who are selected through National eligibility tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant professorship) or GATE.

2. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by central Government department and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DOS, DRDO, DAE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc.

Age: For Project JRF maximum 28 years. As on the last date of receipt of applications through email i.e. 24^th April, 2026. Age relaxation is applicable as per CSIR rules.

Duration: These positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The engagement of a project staff in different projects either in the CSIR - Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Bhavnagar or different Lab./ Institute of CSIR taken together shall not exceed 6 years in any case. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar.
