Rs. 37,000/- + HRA for M. Sc. scholars who are selected through (a) National eligibility tests-CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) The selection process through National level examinations conducted by central government departments and their agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc.

Field collection of and cultivation seaweed, tank cultivation and characterization of seaweed.

Age: As on the last date of receipt of the application, maximum 28 years for Project JRF. Age relaxation is applicable as per DBT/CSIR/Institute rules.
Duration: These positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. It would, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming absorption in CSIR- CSMCRI. The engagement of a project staff in different projects either in the CSIR - Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Bhavnagar or different Laboratories/Institutes of CSIR taken together shall not exceed 06 years in any case. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar. Those who are currently working as Project Assistant/Field Assistant/Research Scholar or any other mode in CSIR Institutions / Universities / any other government organizations need to submit No Objection Certificate from the Project Leader or Competent authority in the letter head with seal.
Interview will be conducted in hybrid mode (post code 1: online and for post code 2: in-person) and no TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
