PAT-I, Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent

Desirable experience, qualification, job description:

Post 01 (Water Resources / Coastal / Hydraulic, GIS Engineering):

Candidates with specialization in Water Resources, Hydraulic, Coastal Engineering, or GIS & Remote Sensing are preferred. The role includes flood perdition, 2D Integrated Hydro-dynamic Moelling, sediment transport, wave-current and shoreline modelling using tools like MIKE, HEC-RAS, and ArcGIS, along with GIS mapping, Remote sensing tools i.e. ERDAS IMAGINE, SRTM, DEM based data analysis, and coordination with government agencies. The candidate will work of modelling based solution for the flood inundation mapping, 2D HD modelling and wave current based shoreline morphological studies to give sustainable solution for reducing risk to the surrounding community and innovative coastal infrastructure for solar salt works.

2 years experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions OR Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services or Master’s in Civil Engineering/ Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university 

Job Description: The selected candidate will assist in R&D activities on salt and marine chemicals at CSIR-CSMCRI, including pilot-scale experiments for brine purification and recovery of critical elements. The role involves site supervision, civil works (estimation, AutoCAD design, foundation and shed execution), pilot plant operation (including NF systems), brine management, and field validation, installation, and monitoring of technologies at Field, with regular fieldwork and travel.

The engagement of a project staff in different projects either in the CSIR - Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Bhavnagar or different Lab./ Institute of CSIR taken together shall not exceed 6 years in any case. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar.
