Qualifications
- Essential Qualifications: B.Tech. / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering, OR M.Sc. in Chemistry from a recognized University or equivalent institute.
- Desirable Qualifications: M.Tech. / M.E. in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Energy Engineering. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrable experience in renewable energy systems, solar thermal technologies, process design, CFD analysis, technical writing, conducting training programs, and executing field implementation activities.
Job Description & Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be assigned to the CSIR-Integrated Skill Initiative project under the thematic area of “Small-scale Solar Thermal Applications with Solar PV Insights.”
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the fabrication, deployment, and demonstration of solar thermal systems.
- Drafting and organizing training materials, technical documentation, and project reports.
- Undertaking fieldwork associated with technology deployment and training initiatives.
- Utilizing strong technical writing and event coordination skills to support project deliverables.

* Age Calculation & Relaxation: The upper age limit will be reckoned as on the last date of receipt of applications (July 31, 2026). Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Women candidates is applicable as per statutory guidelines and CSIR / Government of India norms.
Terms & Conditions of Engagement
- Nature of Employment: The engagement is purely temporary, strictly on a contract basis, and co-terminus with the project. The tenure may be terminated earlier depending on the candidate's performance, conduct, or the availability of project funds.
- No Claim for Regularization: Appointment to this project role does not confer any implicit or explicit right, claim, or entitlement toward regular employment, absorption, or regularization at CSIR-CSMCRI or the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR).
- Shortlisting Discretion: Mere fulfilment of the essential qualifications and experience does not entitle a candidate to be called for the interview. The Institute reserves the right to adopt stricter shortlisting criteria based on academic performance and specific project requirements.
- Rejection of Applications: Incomplete applications, applications not in the prescribed format, or those received without the required supporting documents will be summarily rejected without any further communication.

The email must include a single, clearly legible PDF containing the duly filled application form along with self-attested scanned copies of the following:
- Proof of Age: Birth certificate or standard 10th/12th certificate indicating date of birth.
- Category Certificate: Valid Caste/Category/PwD certificate (if claiming age relaxation).
- Academic Credentials: Marksheets and degree certificates from 10th standard onwards.
- Professional Records: Experience certificates and copies of publications (if applicable).
- National Eligibility Proof: Scorecards or certificates for CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, or other equivalent National Level examinations.
Important Dates:
