The Division of halophyte Biology, Biotechnology and Marine Environment at CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar is actively engaged in multidisciplinary research in frontier areas of modern biology and biotechnology such as stress genomics & proteomics, transgenic, plant-microbe interactions, metagenomics, marine biotechnology, adaptation biology, etc. We are looking for young, talented & motivated persons in project “CSIR Jigyasa: Student-Scientist Interaction (HCP002601)” funded by the CSIR, New Delhi, sponsored Project.

Emoluments:

(a) Rs.31,000/- + HRA for those candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET incl. lectureship/assistant professorship OR GATE OR those who have qualified National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments like DBT/DST or equivalent and/or their Agencies/Institutions.

(b) Rs.25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (a) above.

Job description: CSIR Jigyasa Project: To assist in scientific activities demonstration and scientific kit preparation.

Emoluments: Rs. 20000/- + HRA@pm

Duration: These posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project tenure. The engagement of a project staff in different projects either in the CSIR - CSMCRI, Bhavnagar or different Laboratories/Institutes of CSIR taken together shall not exceed 06 years in any case. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar.

2.       The number of vacancies is provisional and may vary. The Director, CSIR-CSMCRI reserves the right to cancel all or part of the advertised vacancies at any stage of recruitment process without giving any reason thereof.

3.       Age relaxation for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Women categories shall be as per Government of India/CSIR instructions issued from time to time.

4.       If it is found at any stage of the process or thereafter that the candidate does not fulfill the eligibility criteria, their candidature shall be cancelled without assigning any reason whatsoever.
