Project Associate-I: 02 Post

Essential Qualifications: B.Tech./B.E. in Chemical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering

Desirable Experience: M.Tech./ M.E. in Mechanical Engineering/ Chemical Engineering, Prefrence will be given to candidates with demonstrative experience in solar thermal, process design, CFD tools, and technical writing. Experience in operation and maintenance of laboratory/process equipment and data analysis will be preferred.

Project Associate-I: 01 post

Essential Qualifications: M. Sc. in Chemistry

Desirable experience: Experience in environmental field, chemical analysis, preparation and handling of chemical solutions, instrumental analysis, and characterization of chemical samples. Experience in handling instruments and  sampling, parameter analysis in the area of marine, salt, water, environemtal or industrial will be an added advantage.

Project Associate-I: 01 post

Essential Qualifications: M. Sc. in Microbiology

Desirable experience: Experience in microbiological analysis, microbial culture and identification, aseptic techniques, water/marine microbiology, biochemical analysis, and handling of laboratory instruments. Experience in isolation, enumeration and characterization of microorganisms and microbial sample analysis will be preferred.

Monthly Emoluments:

1. Rs.31,000/- + HRA (as applicable) for those candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET incl. lectureship/assistant professorship OR GATE OR those who have qualified National level examinations conducted by Central Governments like DBT/DST or equivalent and/or their Agencies/Institutions
2. Rs.25,000/- + HRA (as applicable) for others who do not fall under (a) above.

Age: (As on the date of walk-in interview, i.e. 12/10/2026), maximum 35 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per CSIR rules.

i. Date of Birth Certificate/ Matriculation Pass Certificate / Admit card in support of your date of birth.

ii. All mark-sheets and/or certificates ( Semeter wise ) regarding educational qualification (since Matriculation).

iii. No Objection Certificate from the employer if employed.

iv. Final Mark Sheet of BE/BTech/MScdegree/ degree certificate/provisional

v. Documentary proof of passing NET/NET(LS)/GATE/Equivalent (if applicable).

vi. One Passport size photograph.

vii. Caste certificate (wherever applicable).

viii. The Institute reserves the right of selection or rejection of a candidature including cancellation of the advertisement, without assigning any reason whatsoever.

The decision of Director, CSIR-CSMCRI in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection, conduct of interview, cancellation of advertisement etc.  will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this connection from any individual or person or agency.
2. Therefore, candidates are advised to keep visiting regularly the website of CSIR-CSMCRI.
3. The number of vacancies is provisional and may vary. The Director, CSIR-CSMCRI reserves the right to cancel all or part of the advertised vacancies at any stage of recruitment process without giving any reason thereof.
4. Age relaxation for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Women categories shall be as per Government of India/CSIR instructions issued from time to time.
5. If it is found at any stage of the process or thereafter that the candidate does not fulfill the eligibility criteria their candidature shall be cancelled without assigning any reason whatsoever.
6. Experience certificates must clearly indicate the duration of experience, place of work, and position held.
7. This post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The engagement of a project staff in different projects either in the CSIR - Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Bhavnagar or different Lab./Instt. of CSIR taken together shall not exceed 06 years in any case. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar.
