Having expertise in thin film composite Reverse Osmosis and ultrafiltration membrane preparation and surface modifications, membrane productivity improvement, low-fouling membrane development and membrane process development. Developed the process technology for end-of-life Reverse Osmosis membrane rejuvenation and established the pilot plant facility by a DST funded project as the principal investigator. Worked in energy efficiency improvement for solar powered desalination, forward osmosis system development, nanocomposite ultrafiltration membrane and nano-enhanced Reverse Osmosis membrane development. Led the research projects from concept to commissioning until pilot plant stage and developed the technology upto TRL level 6. Awarded the cumulative external grants of Rs. 4.51 Cr as the Principal investigator.
