Essential Qualification(s): M.Sc. in Chemistry with GATE / CSIR-UGC NET (LS).
Desirable: Junior Research Fellowship (CSIR-UGC), experience on organic chemistry and/or knowledge on supramolecular chemistry.
Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- p.m. plus HRA as admissible.
Age: Maximum 28 years as on the last date of application. Age relaxation is applicable as per Institute rules.
Duration of the project: This position is purely temporary for the project duration. Therefore, it would not confer any right/claim, implicit or explicit, for any candidate for extension or absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI. Initial appointment is for one year.
Job Description: Selected candidate will work on SERB-funded SERB POWER GRANT (SPG) entitled: Functionalized s-Heptazine containing materials and their Applications in CO2 Utilization. The main objective of this project is to construct s-Heptazine based systems and their functionalization (metal-free and metallated systems) for their applications as heterogeneous catalyst in the utilization of CO2 for various value added products like cyclic carbonates, polycarbonates and so on.

Applications received by e-mail will be scrutinized based on certain selection criteria, and only short-listed candidates will be asked to attend the interview through online mode (Skype or MS – Team). Details of the interview will be intimated to such candidates by e-mail.
The selected candidate would have a choice to register for Ph.D. program in the future under AcSIR. However, the candidate must meet certain eligibility criteria and need to qualify the screening test.
