Desirable experience / qualification:

The selected candidates are required to work on the Mission Mode Project entitled “Specialty Chemicals for industrial applications”.

Preference will be given to the person having experience in laboratory experiments / chemical analysis &/or concept of process design (viz., mass & energy balance, PFD etc.).

For post No. 2 : Among candidates with  B. E. / B. Tech degree – those having B. Sc. (with Chemistry as a major subject) would be given preference.

Job Description:

Design & execution of experiments at laboratory; sample characterization; data collection & interpretation; scale-up studies & process design (material & energy balance, PFD, etc.); preliminary techno-economic assessment.

Monthly Emoluments:

1. Rs. 31,000/- + HRA to scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and institutions.

(ii) Rs. 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.

 

Upper Age Limit: 35 years as on the last date of receipt of applications i.e. 23/04/2024.

Duration: This post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The engagement of a project staff in different projects either in the CSIR-Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Bhavnagar or different Lab./Instt. of CSIR taken together shall not exceed 5 years in any case. It would, therefore, not confer any right/ claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar
