Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Botany

Desirable: work experience in the laboratory, chemical analysis/biochemical analysis of seaweeds/ handling of sophisticated analytical instruments, and knowing swimming would be desirable.

Emoluments :

25,000/- + HRA  

Job description: Selected candidate will work on the CSIR project, titled ‘Identification of Potential Locations across India for Seaweed Cultivation and valorisation technologies – HCP 0024 WP1’. The candidate is expected to undertake analysis of common physico-chemical parameters, visit various seaweed farming locations along the PAN India coast; also undertaking culture of various statins in the laboratory.

Age limit: 35 years as on last date of receiving applications (age relaxation as per CSIR rule).

This post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project specifically till 31st March 2025. The engagement of a project staff in different projects either in the CSIR - Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Bhavnagar or different Lab./Instt. of CSIR taken together shall not exceed 5 years in any case. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar.
