Project Associate-I: 01 post

Essential Qualifications: M. Sc. in Chemistry

Desirable experience: Candidates having an M. Sc. with a specialization in Organic Chemistry and sound knowledge in organic synthesis and chemical process development are desirable. The selected candidate will have to work on the project entitled “Synthesis of Marine Natural Product Staurosporinone and its Analogues”. The candidate will work on organic synthesis, natural products and their analogues, characterization of organic molecules, reaction optimization and demonstration of the above processes.

Monthly Emoluments:

1. Rs.37,000/- + HRA as per DST-ANRF guidelines for those candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET incl. lectureship/assistant professorship OR GATE OR those who have qualified National level examinations conducted by Central Governments like DBT/DST or equivalent and/or their Agencies/Institutions.
2. Rs.30,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (a) above.

Age: (As on the last date of receipt of applications through e-mail, i.e. 25/04/2025), maximum 35 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per CSIR rules.

Duration: These positions are purely temporary for the period of One year, and extendable on a performance basis up to 31/03/2028 or till the project completion date whichever is earlier. It would, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming absorption in CSIR- CSMCRI.

Applications received by email will be scrutinized based on certain criteria and only shortlisted candidates who are eligible as per the criteria will be asked to attend the interview off line/online mode, i.e., Skype/MSTeam. The details of the interview will be sent to the shortlisted candidates by email.

The candidates are requested to send their CV with the following details: (1) Full name and postal address with an e-mail address, contact no., Skype id, etc., (2) Proof of date of birth, (3) Details of educational qualifications, NET/GATE qualified certificate and experience (if any) together with the scanned copies of all certificates/ testimonials.

Candidates shall ensure Internet Connectivity, Webcam & necessary software at their level to attend the online interview. CSIR-CSMCRI shall not be responsible for any connectivity failure or communication faults in the Web-mode interview.

Since the document verification process cannot be followed in the interviews online mode, all selections would be provisional subject to verification of all relevant documents. In case of any deficiency of any type in the documents, the candidature would automatically stand cancelled any time.
