Essential Qualification: M. Sc. Botany/ Biotechnology

Preferred experience: Basic knowledge of Botany / Biotechnology

Emolument for Project Associate: (a) Rs. 31000+HRA for those candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC/ ICAR/ICMR NET incl. lectureship/assistant professorship or GATE OR those who have qualified national level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments like DBT/DST or equivalent and/or their Agencies/Institution.  

(b) Rs. 25,000/-+ HRA for others who do not fall under (a) above

Upper age limit: 35 years

Job description: Selected candidate will work on seaweed culture and cultivation sponsored project, entitled “Identification of potential locations across India for seaweed cultivation”. The selected candidate need to do culturing, life history studies of selected seaweeds, collection of seaweeds, scientific data generation of seaweed cultivation, record of environmental parameters, physico-chemical analysis of seawater, land based tank cultivation at institute’s experimental salt farm

Applications received in prescribed format and by e-mail will be scrutinized based on candidate’s academic background with a certain criteria and shortlisted candidates who are eligible as per the criteria will be asked to attend the interview on later date. The details of the interview will be sent to shortlisted candidates by e-mail only. This post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The engagement of a project staff in different projects either in the CSIR - Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Bhavnagar or different Lab./Instt. of CSIR taken together shall not exceed 6 years in any case.
