Essential Qualifications: M. Sc. Chemistry - OR -  B. E. / B. Tech – Chemical Engineering / Chemical technology

Desirable experience / qualification:

The selected candidates are required to work on the Mission Mode Project entitled “Specialty Chemicals for industrial applications”.

Preference will be given to the person having experience in laboratory experiments / chemical analysis &/or concept of process design (viz., mass & energy balance, PFD etc.).

Job Description:

Design & execution of experiments at laboratory; sample characterization; data collection & interpretation; scale-up studies & process design (material & energy balance, PFD, etc.); preliminary techno-economic assessment.

Monthly Emoluments:

1. Rs. 31,000/- + HRA for those candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET including lectureship / assistant professorship or GATE OR those who have qualified National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments like DBT/ DST or equivalent and/ or their Agencies/ Institutions.
2. 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (a) above.

 

Upper Age Limit: 35 years as on the last date of receipt of applications i.e. 23/10/2025.

Duration: This post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The engagement of a project staff in different projects either in the CSIR-Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Bhavnagar or different Lab./Instt. of CSIR taken together shall not exceed 6 years in any case. It would, therefore, not confer any right/ claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar

Applications received by email will be scrutinized based on a certain criteria and only shortlisted candidates as are eligible as per the criteria will be asked to attend interview using online mode.
